About
I specialise in FOH sound, with extensive experience working 300 - 1800 capacity venues, alongside festival and conference/corporate work. I am friendly, open minded, comfortable working any genre and always enjoy a challenge!
With a gig count in the thousands stretching over 20 years, past gigs have ranged from DJ & electronic sets, to experimental rock bands, Qawalli ensembles, reggae, latin jazz, pop, country & Americana, folk, all the way through to 20+ big brass bands. As well as freelancing regularly in-house for several Bristol-based venues, I work directly with acts, hire and production companies on a wide variety of events including indoor & outdoor festivals, corporate events and immersive theatre.
In addition to FOH duties, I am comfortable working monitors, patch & stage crewing; familiar with D&B R1 and ArrayCalc for systems work; can busk lights on Chamsys MagicQ; and can troubleshoot and maintain equipment to a reasonable standard. Though primarily focused on live sound today, I have excellent production skills, having worked on numerous recording, mixing, mastering and composition projects. An interest in creative coding has also resulted in several digital art installations and performance-based commissions over the years.
A highlighted selection of events I've been involved with are listed below. I am available for hire and look forward to discussing further - contact details and current CV are at the end. Happy to provide references on request.
